It is a blessing to be able to serve the same people and the Harrisburg area with a service that is needed and wanted. There is nothing like the feeling of helping someone with pain, when only a few years ago they were coaching me, teaching me or helping me in some other way."

I grew up in Central Pennsylvania. I left the area to attend college at West Virginia University. After 2 years. I transferred to the University of Maryland for Physical Therapy school. After graduation, I returned to Pennsylvania and took a job with Polyclinic Hospital. I was married to Dave in 1981, on the anniversary of TMI.
When we were ready to start a family, I took a job with a private practice PT group. I wanted to have the option of working part-time after having children. I worked in a variety of settings, from out-patient to skilled nursing care. I also became involved with treating pelvic floor dysfunction and other women's health issues. I have been working at Madden Physical Therapy for the last 4 years.
My children are now 25 and 23. Amy teaches special education and Jake is in his second year of osteopathic medical school. I'm still working part-time and loving it. I work mostly with women's health issues, but also scleroderma and geriatrics.
In my time off, I enjoy golfing, walking my dog, cheering for the Mountaineers and the Phillies, doing crafts, especially card making and scrapbooking, and traveling and spending time with family.
